Thirty-one years ago, today, that elegant Saturday, February 6th, 1993 was one of the most fortunate days and beautiful times in our land, in our lives when the servant of God, the Vicar of Christ, and an amazing friend of humanity Pope John Paul II now St. Pope John Paul II came to Kaunda Grounds, Gulu. His Papal visit was a sign of hope for the Christians of Acoli and a sign of the mercy of God even though the region was quite squabbling with war between the Lord's Resistance Army [LRA] rebels and the Government of Uganda, and Acoli lived in much fierce from the rebels. "31st Anniversary of St. Pope John Paul II's Apostolic Visit in Gulu an Exquisite Visit - a Visit in Time of War in Acoli Region." The Pope's visit is still vital even now because God became compassionate at the time of insurgency, He became humane for the Acoli people, and God became merciful showing His love to us through the visit of His servant St. Pope John Paul II.
Having visited us at a time when there was war, His Apostolic Visit in Gulu escalated the Hope and Faith of Christians and the Church in the Acoli Region. Today Tuesday, February 6th, 2024 it is absolutely phenomenal to celebrate the 31st anniversary of the Apostolic visit of St. John Paul II, and making intercession in his name for help is true and glorifying Jesus the Lord will remain my fascination as the way to eternal life shouldn't get undercover because St. Pope John Paul II has demonstrated to us the direction to perfection that we should faithful to the Lord God.
May the offering of myself and may the offering of myself ourselves at Holy Mass the acceptable sacrifice of God a sacrifice you celebrated in the name of Christ Jesus be charming to the Holy Father, My God, our God. May my sharing in the Holy Eucharist, the Bread of Life, the Bread of Redemption, bring me redemption and eternal life. With a humble spirit, a contrite heart, and faith may we be received by You, and may our participation during Holy Mass devotion for it and our deeds to our fellow human beings be in Your sight be delighting to You, and obtain for us the glory of Heaven as has been given to St. Pope John Paul II. won't forget the Holy Mass you have celebrated at Kaunda Grounds, Gulu, we won't forget your compassionate heart, and we won't forget your kind heart and love for Humanity. We'll remember you and we'll remember your Papacy."
