As normally in the Lent period every year the Gospel reading for the Second Sunday of Lent the Church recounts Jesus’ Transfiguration at Mount Tabor a glorious time Jesus met Elijah and Moses His Holy three Apostles Peter, James, and John had to share the joy of the Lord God during Christ's Transfiguration. We are invited to climb the mountain during this period of Lent. To climb a mountain is very difficult but, when we reach the top, we see things in a different routine. The ambiance is cleaner and beautiful, the light is clearer, we come closer to God, we come to the light of God, and we become transformed before Christ we are transformed to the glory of Christ. "The Transfigured Christ and the Lord God's Command on Mount Tabor." The glory of the Lord God was shown of Christ His transfiguration testified the eminence of the Lord God and the Lord God's command 'This is my Beloved Son; listen to Him.' We are shown the way, the truth, and the life, truly Mount Tabor calls us to trust in the glory that awaits us the true glory of Christ that awaits us. We may have to climb the mountain to discover that we have come closer to God and are deeply transformed.
At the Transfiguration of Christ, Christ encourages us to seek His Holy face God commands us that we listen to Him. We come to Him with our different intents, with full trust that He will listen to us and make us see His full glory. We should be strengthened with the presence of Christ through the assiduous preaching of the Holy Gospel of our salvation and our actions, we may care for our lives, and our souls, and do all we can to preserve our lives and souls to devote more time to the teaching and practice of our Christian faith so that we may become authentic witnesses of the Holy Gospel of Christ.
Our Lord, kindly look favourably on the prayers we always express seeking Your glory with deep faith. By Your gracious assistance, may we be delighting to You encouraging ourselves to seek Your glory and after we have obtained Your glory in Heaven we shall say to You, “Master, it is well that we are here."
