The moon cast its silver glow
On a night that was eerie and slow
The trees creaked with a
spine-chilling sigh
As the wind whispered secrets,
making my heart ask why?
The stars hide behind a veil of gray
As darkness descended, come what may
The world was bathed in an unsettling hue
A night that felt like a nightmare, anew
But then, a sparkle caught my eye
A light that shone bright, in the darkened sky
A star that twinkled with festive cheer
A reminder that Christmas was near
The nightmare began to fade away
As visions of sugarplums came to stay
The wind whispered carols, soft and low
And the trees creaked out a gentle, festive glow
The world transformed, in a magical spell
A nightmare turned dream, a tale to tell
For in the darkness, a light did shine
A Christmas miracle, all divine.
