The Feast Day of the Holy Innocent Children of Bethlehem falls on December 28th. After experiencing the joyous Nativity of Christ Jesus and adoring Him as a Newborn lying peacefully in a manger, the children were practically and instantly confronted by the dreadful, wickedness act of King Herod the Great– the brutal and merciless massacre of all male Children, 2 years and younger, in the entire region of Bethlehem. The slain Innocent Children of Bethlehem are regarded by the Church as the first Holy Martyrs, but it's uncertain when the day was first kept as a Saint’s Day. "Bethlehem Holy Innocent Children's Death Mysterious King Herod's Merciless in Heart" King Herod the Great, king of Judea, had ordered the execution of all the male Children who were two years old and under in the environs of Bethlehem an unfortunate incident and one of the worst executions in the history of Humanity. Many Children were killed and their Deaths were so mysterious they were murdered in Jesus Christ’s stead because King Herod the Great wanted to kill the infant Jesus but he failed in his attempt to get Baby Jesus Christ King Herod the King became so merciless in his heart.
The Holy Innocent Children of Bethlehem are Holy Martyrs because they shed their blood for Christ Jesus. In our time, the Holy Innocent Children have been regarded as prototypes of the millions of unborn children – the most Innocent among us – killed through the equally wickedness and brutal act of abortion around the Cosmos. We shouldn't even ponder aborting the Children and we must be able to protect the lives of Children who are already born, and we should show them affection.
