‎"I have heard the issue about the Medical Interns in Uganda. Certainly, I do not agree with the Ugandan Government's Decision regarding Medical Interns. The decision appears frivolous because it does not adequately consider the critical role that Medical Interns play in the Healthcare System. Medical interns provide essential services in Hospitals and Health Centres while gaining Practical Experience necessary for their Professional Development. I would imagine the work is very difficult, and the Medical Interns should be given some appreciation."

‎On the controversial Government Decision to scrap Monthly allowances and Mandate Internships before Graduation, I will not be against any Protests and other possibilities of the Protest by the Medical Interns. We need to take into consideration that any policy that negatively affects their Welfare, Training, and Deployment risks weakening Healthcare Service Delivery and discouraging Young Medical Professionals.

‎The Government of Uganda should engage relevant Stakeholders, including Medical Interns, Healthcare Workers, and Professional Associations, before making decisions that impact the Health Sector - it's not good to make decisions that impact the Health Sector so negatively. A more thoughtful and consultative approach would promote fairness, improve Healthcare outcomes, and demonstrate commitment to supporting the next generation of Medical Practitioners. Decisions concerning Medical Interns should prioritize both the Welfare of the Interns and the Healthcare needs of the Ugandan population. We must be very careful with the Health Sector.

‎The Ugandan Government has money. I cannot get convinced that they are unable to pay some money or allowance to the Medical Interns. The decision about the Medical Interns appears to be completely frivolous. Certain decisions sometimes make us look like fools, and we must be very careful with our decisions and directions that we intend to take, especially those that concern Humanity and the Common Good of the Citizens.
