The Book "He Leadeth Me" was written by a Polish American Catholic Priest, the Late Fr. Walter Ciszek, S.J, who ventured to the Soviet Union to evangelize Russia and endured severe torture and suffering for over 20 years after being apprehended by the communist regime, is now the best seller on Amazon. The reason for this surge in sales is that it's the book used by the Hallow App for Lenten reflections. "Catholic Priest's Book He Leadeth Me Becomes Best Seller on Amazon - Hallow App for Lenten Reflections." This Lent, the Catholic Prayer app Hallow will walk through the life-changing, spiritual classic by Fr. Walter Ciszek, SJ, He Leadeth Me. The Lenten Prayer series has been directed by Actor Mark Wahlberg; Jonathan Roumie, who plays Jesus on The Chosen; Fr. Mike Schmitz, Host of the Podcast Bible in a Year; Sr. Miriam James who is well-followed on YouTube; and Sr. Mary Bernice, a Missionary of Charity who served alongside St. Mother Teresa in Calcutta.
Hallow App's impact is truly tremendous, as it's assisting thousands of people to embrace or re-embrace their faith in Christ. The recent Hallow-sponsored Super Bowl commercial featuring Mark Wahlberg reached over 10 million people, following which the app climbed to the number one spot on the App Store, surpassing Instagram, WhatsApp, and Netflix. Over a million people are participating in the Hallow's Lent challenge, which is another remarkable achievement. Another inspiring aspect you could notice is that amidst the app's success stories, the team, especially Hallow app founder Alex Jones consistently attributes the achievements to Jesus, offering thanks and glorifying Him. He said that as the App has been launched in languages including Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese, I pray that it would expand further for the re-evangelization of the West and evangelization of the East.
For me, we are moving in this period of Lent recalling the Passion of Christ He should lead us. Each of us ultimately yearns for God, and we will go looking for Him every day and night. I hope we will all reach to the Lord God. This period of Lent 2024 should be meaningful as we contemplate the mercy and the love of Christ.
