Today, Saturday, January 31st, 2026, we joyfully Celebrate the Feast Day of St. John Bosco, an Italian Priest and Educator, the Wondrous Apostle of Youth, and a man of the Lord God whose gift of life was a living testimony of Perfect Love, Patience, and Dedication to the Young People. "Celebration on the Feast Day of St. John Bosco - January 31st: St. John Bosco the Best and a Great Friend of the Youth, Young People, and a Saint Who Loves Education." St. John Bosco founded the Salesians of Don Bosco, a Congregation dedicated to serving the Youth, especially the Poor. His dream continues today in Schools, Parishes, and Missions around the world, where Young People are nurtured in Faith, Knowledge, and Moral Values. "A Saint who loves the Youth and a Saint who loves Education."

St. John Bosco, affectionately known as Don Bosco, devoted his entire life to the Education and Spiritual formation of Poor and abandoned Boys. At a time when many Young People were neglected and left without Guidance, St. John Bosco saw hope where others saw trouble. He believed that every child carried the image of the Lord God and deserved care, dignity, and opportunity. He focuses on Reason, Religion, and Loving-Kindness. Here we see a Saint who did not lead with punishment but with understanding. Here we see a Saint who did not rule with fear but with love. Through Patience and Fatherly Care, he transformed lives and built futures.

I urge the Salesians of Don Bosco to always emulate St. John Bosco, to lead the Community with Understanding, and to lead the Community with Love.
