Archdiocese of Gulu celebrates Education Week November 2023 for the first time with the theme "Reawakening and repositioning the Church and other Stakeholders to Transform Education in Acoli Sub-Region" The celebration is being held at Kaunda Grounds in Gulu City, Northern Uganda, and the Education Week November 2023 has opened today Monday, November 13th, 2023 and will end on Saturday, November 18th, 2023 with a Fundraising Dinner at Acoli Inn at 15:30 EAT. We must all be interested in Education and its transformation and should be able to raise its standards and those who take part in learning. Education should be a need for us and our community, our nation, and the world. Our region of Acoli should have that need.
His Grace Dr. John Baptist Odama, the Archbishop of Gulu Archdiocese in his homily during the Holy Mass to kick off the celebration of Education Week November 2023 said that we need to reawaken and reposition education for the development of the society, the 76th year Prelate of the Holy Catholic Church in Uganda Most Rev. Dr. John Baptist Odama told that pupils, students, and the people who have attended the Holy Mass: "Set Yourself to be the Model" and don't be envious about the gifts of others that God has given them.
The attendance and participation from the Pupils, Students, Teachers, and the people for Education Week November 2023 have been observed as exquisite I have liked the spirit of everyone at Kaunda Grounds and it looks seemingly that the people in the Archdiocese of Gulu are ready to reawaken and reposition the Church to transform Education in Acoli Sub-Region. I am happy to be a Participant and a member of the Central Organizing Committee [COC] for Education Week November 2023 and I am ready in my own capacity to reawaken and reposition myself to transform Education in my region as being Acoli.
