With Heavenly Gladness
Illumine, Most Holy Lord God,
Our darkest lives,
Our darkest day;
When We Weep in Misery and Sadness
Be our Solace,
Strength and Stay.
Remove our woes,
Souls victory won,
When we pray:
“But Your will be done.”
Endure with us,
O Saviour Tender,
Holy Lord Christ Jesus,
When We Weep in Misery and Sadness
That bitter day when life shall end,
When to the grave we must relinquish,
Fear and pain our hearts shall rend.
The shield of faith You bestow
"Even Trembling or Not We Must Meet the Foe of Death"
Death when we lose our bodies,
Death whether killed or not,
But in faith,
Our souls are saved in the glory of the Saviour Tender,
Lord Christ Jesus.
