Yesterday Wednesday, January 17th, 2024 "His Grace Speaks and Confers Blessings upon the Youth ahead of Youth Vocations Day" His Grace Dr. John Baptist Odama was accompanied by Fr. Christopher Komakech, the Parish Priest of Christ the King Parish, Kitgum, and Fr. Paul Ronald Obwoya, the Curate and also the Youth Chaplain to meet the Youth beside the Church. Fr. Paul Ronald Obwoya welcomed and invited His Grace to speak and he spoke with passion to the Youth of Christ the King Parish, Kitgum who have come for the meeting and are organizing for Christ the King Parish, Kitgum Youth Vocations Day that is slated for Friday, January 19th, 2024.
The 76th-year Prelate thanked the Lord God for the life of the Youth and greeted the Youth before heading to St. Joseph's Cathedral, Gulu. He noted that the future of the Church is in the hands of the Youth he asked the Youth: who can stand in faith like Blessed Daudi Okello and Jildo Irwa? There are so many Youth and where do their faith and lives stand? Youth must stand firm in faith. The coming of Christ into the world was to give a new law that you love one another and love unite people: in love there's mercy, there's peace and there's truth. So, stand firm in faith. In his conclusion, he said to the Youth that even those who desire a family life, pray to the Lord that He gives you the best wife or the best husband, the one you will live together until death do you apart.
His Grace Dr. John Baptist Odama prayed and conferred the blessings to the Youth of Christ the King Parish, Kitgum.
The Youth Vocations Day will draw several Youth from all the Chapels within Christ the King Parish, Kitgum with the well-organized program as each session the Youth will substantially benefit from the training.
