It's a splendid Sunday [Sunday, August 4th, 2024] a Sunday that we give thanks to the Lord God for having chosen His Servants in the Order of Presbyter, the 18th Sunday in the Ordinary Time Year B of the Church we give gratitude and honour to the Lord God for the gift of our brothers who have become Priests viz. Fr. Felix Opio Odwong and Fr. Peter Ojara who hails from Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Kitgum Mission Parish. "The Lord God bestows His love and grace to us by giving us His Servants that we may not scatter like flocks without a Shepherd." This is splendid.

"Hon. Minister Beatrice Atim Anywar Offers the Gift of Hosts and Wines in a Thanksgiving Mass for the Newly Ordained Priests" at Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Kitgum Mission. Hosts and Wine are vital gifts they become the Holy Body and Blood of Jesus Christ in a process called transubstantiation. This is a conversion of one substance into another. Notably, in the Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church it's the doctrine that holds that the Bread and Wine of the Eucharist are transformed into the Body and Blood of Jesus. Eucharist is one of the Sacraments in commemoration of the Last Supper of Christ Christ before His Passion on Good Friday and Crucifixion with the physical forms of Bread and usually wine, which are believed by the Catholic Church to become Christ Himself and His presence in the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist among us. The Christian Sacrament of Holy Communion is great and endures us to eternal life, the substances received with great faith during this sacrament, namely the Bread and Wine, are seen as Christ’s Body and Blood. "Christ is the Bread of Life; He who comes to Him shall not hunger, and He who believes in Him shall never thirst.”

We thank Hon. Minister Beatrice Atim Anywar for this splendid gift of the Hosts and Wines, we also thank her for the gift of 400,000/= each to the New Priests, 100,000/= to Choir Members, and 100,000/= to Giulio Pastore Pre Primary and Primary School for the beauteous animation of the celebration of the Holy Mass for the Thanksgiving Mass as two Pupils took the Readings and read very well at Mary Immaculate of Lourdes, Kitgum Mission for the News Priests who were ordained yesterday Saturday, August 3rd, 2024 at St. Joseph's Cathedral Gulu by His Grace Dr. John Baptist Odama the Archbishop Emeritus of Gulu Archdiocese.

As Piemonte House, we continue to thank our brothers Fr. Felix Opio Odwong and Fr. Peter Ojara for having harken to the voice of God and following the Holy Gospel of Christ.

We congratulate them upon their Priestly Ordination and we them God's blessings in the Priesthood.
