‎Today, Monday, October 20th, 2025, "In the Stellar Celebrations of the Feast Day of Blessed Daudi Okello and Jildo Irwa," we celebrate the Feast Day (107th Anniversary of the Martyrdom) of Blessed Daudi Okello and Jildo Irwa, the Martyred Catechists of our Time. We celebrate the lives of two Catechists Martyred in Paimol, Uganda. Catechists Daudi Okello and Jildo Irwa were speared in 1918 for refusing to renounce the teaching of the Catechism in the Village of Paimol, as the local leaders and people became more adverse to the Catechists, and they were martyred. Their souls are in Heaven and this is a glee. If we come to Paimol Shrine and if we meditate about Blessed Daudi Okello and Jildo Irwa, we must reflect and remember the lives of these two Martyred Catechists Faithful Witnesses of God and Faithful Witnesses of the Holy Gospel.

‎Blessed Daudi Okello and Jildo Irwa are an inspiration to us, and we are to imitate their lives, which they placed in the Lord Jesus Christ. The Martyred Catechists teach us to love God, the Author of life, to love the Saviour Jesus Christ, to love the Gospel, and if plausible become wondrous Witnesses. "As a Christian, the best thing to do is to have an authentic faith in God and to bear true witness to Him." We celebrate this glorious Feast, and we are to be "For Christ with no Compromise because He is our Hope, and we celebrate the Jubilee Year 2025 as "Pilgrims of Hope", and our faith must define our Christianity.

Blessed Daudi Okello and Jildo Irwa, pray for us that we may have deep faith in God and be Witnesses of the Holy Gospel of Christ.

‎Lugumkom Daudi Okello ki Jildo Irwa, Wuleg Pi Wan!
