The comment came during a Press Conference while he was under pressure for Manchester United's poor start to the Season 2025/2026, when he was faced with a lot of questions about his rigid 3-4-3 Formation.

As a Fan, I never admired Ruben Amorim’s style of football, yet Manchester United is used to attacking football and his sacking only confirms what was evident for a long time. His tactics were conservative, predictable, and devoid of the attacking courage expected at this level. Every Weekend, Manchester United's Supporters were asked to endure uninspiring performances with the promise that the system would work. Ruben Amorim is gone. He couldn't push us to the Great Glory. During Ruben Amorim's Time, I Couldn't Sing Glory, Glory Man United.
