In the Beautiful Basilica of St. Peter, Vatican City, Rome, today, Sunday, September 7th, 2025 the Holy Mother Church and the Faithful celebrate the Canonization of two Young People; St. Carlo Acutis who died at the age of 15 (1991 - 2006), and St. Pier Giorgio Frassati who died at the age of 24 (1901 - 1925). Carlo and Pier Giorgio lived amazing lives with deep faith, devotion, and passion for the Holy Eucharist. They will be recognized as Saints of the Holy Catholic Church. "The Canonization of St. Carlo Acutis and St. Pier Giorgio Frassati - The Saintly Role Models for Youth." We are gleeful for these two Young Catholics whose lives continue to inspire faith, prayer, and service and the beautiful words of St. Carlo Acutis (the Millennial Saint) live forever: “Jesus is my great friend, and the Eucharist is my highway to Heaven.” New Young Saints of the Church and the Youth need to imitate them to grow in faith. In St. Carlo Acutis, St. Pier Giorgio Frassati, and other Young Saints of the Church, we see the plausibility of the gift of Sainthood and we have to be faithful to the Lord God to obtain the joy and happiness of Heaven.

Feeling grateful, we celebrate the Canonization of St. Carlo Acutis (the Digital Saint) and St. Pier Giorgio Frassati. I send my gratitude to the Mother Church and the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints for overseeing the process that led to the Canonization of Saints and for proceeding right with the Beatification and Canonization of St. Carlo Acutis and St. Pier Giorgio Frassati as they are proclaimed Saints today, Sunday, September 7th, 2025 in the Holy Catholic Church by the Vicar of Christ His Holiness Pope Leo XIV.
